Thank you for using the UT E-Learning Text Grabber & AI Assistant browser extension (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy outlines our strict guidelines regarding your data and privacy.

1. Zero Data Collection Policy

We believe in absolute privacy. The Extension does not collect, log, store, or sell any of your personal information, browsing history, or interaction data. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party surveillance tools.

2. How Your Data is Handled

• Text Extraction: The Extension only reads text from the specific Universitas Terbuka e-learning forum page you are actively viewing (elearning.ut.ac.id). This text is temporarily stored in your browser's local memory to generate an AI prompt.
• API Keys: If you input your custom AI API keys (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, OpenRouter), these keys are stored exclusively and securely within your browser's native local storage (chrome.storage). Your keys are NEVER sent to our developer servers.
• API Transmission: When you generate an AI response, the extracted text and your API key are sent directly from your browser to the official endpoints of the AI provider you selected.

3. Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates directly with the following third-party AI APIs based on your selection. Please refer to their respective privacy policies:

• Google (Gemini)
• OpenAI (ChatGPT)
• Anthropic (Claude)
• OpenRouter

Note: The Extension communicates with our developer server (api.indobelajar.com) strictly to fetch a secure fallback developer key if you choose not to use a personal key. No user data is transmitted in this process.

4. Permissions Justification

The Extension requires specific host permissions strictly to extract text from the UT E-learning platform and to transmit that text to the AI APIs for response generation. We do not request broad permissions (like <all_urls>).

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect your contact information, please review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
